history
Massey Electric Company was founded in 1957 by Dennie P. Massey, with a conviction to build Massey Electric Company into the most prestigious company in its field even though it transcended his small workforce, few tools, and lack of inventory. In 1986, Dennie Massey’s son, Randy Massey, accepted the responsibility of CEO and has built Massey Electric Company into one of the most prominent electrical contracting companies in the Southeast service area. This has been achieved primarily through innovation, integrity, craftsmanship and customer service.
In 1987, Massey Electric expanded operations to the Tri-Cities market. A 10,000 square foot warehouse in Kingsport was built in 1995.
In 2004, Massey Electric moved its headquarters to offices and a warehouse in Alcoa, TN. Maintaining a 65,000 square foot warehouse equipped with environmentally controlled storage allows Massey Electric to store materials keeping them dry and stable. We have the ability to buy in bulk – ensuring that your project’s cost is minimized.
In 2008, another 10,000 square foot expansion was added to the Kingsport facility.
